How it works. Step by step.

Nothing starts until you’ve agreed what we’ll build and what it costs.

Before the price

  1. Get in touch

However suits you: the form or an email. A line or two about your business is plenty. We reply the same working day, or the next one after hours.

  2. See what we’d change, free

Send us your web address before we talk. You get the three things we’d change first, whatever you decide. We also ask who holds your web address, so that’s sorted early.

  3. Have a chat with us

What you do, what a new customer is worth to you, and which pages you need. That tells us what your site has to do.

  4. We write up the scope

Every page and what goes on it. Two rounds of changes. Who writes the words, who takes the photos, and what the monthly care covers.

  5. You agree it, then the price

Change anything that isn’t right, and agree the scope in writing. Then you get one price, in writing, for the build and the monthly care together. Nothing starts until you agree that too. A deposit starts the build.

Building it

  1. Send us what we need

Access to your web address and any old site, and your photos. We arrange access with you, never through the site. We keep the list and remind you, so you don’t have to remember.

  2. Your words, written with you

Sam talks your business through with you, then writes it up the way you’d say it. Two rounds of changes, and nothing goes live until you approve every word.

  3. We build it, phones first

Stanley, the technical one, builds it. Your customers look you up on their phones, so that’s where he starts.

  4. You sign it off on your phone

You look over the preview on your own phone, not a screenshot. It goes live once you’ve said yes.

Live, and after

Your site goes live, and we stay.

  1. It goes live

We point your web address at your new site carefully, and check you can still send and receive email. Then we send a real enquiry through your site and watch it arrive.

  2. Change it yourself

You get your own login. And a short video showing how to change a page, add new work and find your enquiries.

  3. We check in once it’s settled

A call about how it’s going: enquiries that came in, and anything to fix.

  4. We look after it, every month

A site nobody updates is the kind that gets broken into. So we look after yours, every month, and if it ever breaks, one of us fixes it. No minimum term, and 30 days’ notice if you want to stop.

    • We run your site
    • Safe from hackers
    • Backed up
    • Kept up to date
    • Small changes

    The monthly care in full
